Trapped on the Street

Description

Once they leave home, the lifetime journey of the street begins for street children all over the world. It is the start to a life of freedom filled with sorrow and despair. They face life on the streets not by choice, but out of necessity. These children are forced to fend for themselves from a very early age, struggling against violence, harassment, disease, injury and early death. Abuse, poverty and violence are some of the reasons that they end up on the streets. They seem to be trapped for a lifetime unless society and government can step in, rehabilitate them and turn the worlds around for the better.
